As I start 2023, I can't help but reminiscence about all our wins, losses and blessings in disguise. 2022 gave us joy, loss, uncertainty, positive vibes, and so much more. It was a challenging year for the world and for us as a small business. I am extremely grateful to those clients and other small business owners who supported us in so many ways.
In 2022, we were able to surpass our goals for number of events and partnerships. I am happy to report that we ended the year with stunning 75 total events and 6 collaborations with outstanding partners, which included influencers and other small business vendors local to the DMV area.
We had a very full first year with plenty of hard work, many sacrifices, and valuable lessons learned. Therefore, I would like to think our word of 2022 is Growth. What would 2023 look like? Stay tuned! In the meantime, here are the highlights of 2022:
An Introduction to Remember
We had our first 75 people engagement celebration for an amazing couple, who had to postpone their wedding multiple times due to the death of close relatives and ongoing pandemic. We were happy to partake in this celebration to formally introduce the engaged couple to be married and get blessings from their loved ones.
Blossoms and Butterflies for Mom and Baby Mia
We successfully planned a baby shower for Sarah and baby Mia for 50 guests! This event was held close to my heart as my clients, sisters Candice, Chantal, and Sam chose me to plan this after they were able to enjoy a beautiful birthday picnic in 2021. This party was full of joy with a catered brunch, signature cocktails by a rocking bartender, a photobooth with backdrop decor, florals all around, and a phenomenal flower bar along with custom cookies to serve as favors. Stay tuned for a blog about this event!

A Terps Graduation
We had our first 20 people #graduation picnic celebration for Poojah, who graduated from University of Maryland with an Masters in Business Administration. We customized her picnic with her school colors (go Terps!)
A Trinidad Carnival-Inspired Bridal Shower
I loved customizing this #bridalshower by bringing all the elegant decor of carnival times, where feathers and beads made it a day to remember. The bride and guests were completely delighted to see her favorite colors in display.
These Surprise Al Fresco Picnic Proposals
I absolutely love #proposals. Each one was unique and customized according to what the couple preferred. If you are trying to propose, stay tuned for our upcoming blog and offerings!

First Birthday Dessert Table
I was delighted to bring "Vida's Blossoming into One" into reality along with our partnered vendor @Handmaid_by_Katia. From the planning stages, I knew this #desserttable will be one to remember.
Magical 40th birthday picnic by the water
This #birthdaypicnic brought so much joy to our clients. We loved making their day special for Sumeira and her loved ones. The balloon garland gave it an extra magical effect.
These adorable kid birthday parties
Whether it's a #kidpicnic party at the park or a "garden", we truly had an absolute magical time making these happen! Iris's First Bloom complete party was planned by her mom @wimberlyandco, who hired us to be a part of the most stunning garden picnic party. I'm so grateful for clients who trust me to design and execute seamlessly.
This little camper photoshoot
Little camper Jacob had an amazing camping-styled #birthdayphotoshoot along with his family. There was lots of singing and dancing to keep this little guy entertained. Let's just say that little Jacob did not seem so much of a sweet tooth and kept crawling away from his cake smash session! It's ok, little Jacob. Perhaps next year!
The sweetest 70th birthday celebration
When my client Jazmin reached out and we connected through our pioneer creativity, I knew this event will turn out incredibly amazing! Jazmin wanted an elegant and chic #birthdaycelebration for her sweet mom. This one was one for the books!
This fancy snowflake-inspired holiday tablescape
I loved getting inspired by nature during the holiday season. There is something warm and cozy about this design that I absolutely loved creating. I love my returning clients
While many events were memorable in 2022, these events were truly magical and deserved to be highlighted. My biggest gratitude to my team, all vendors who have worked alongside us and helped us make these events a success, and to all the amazing clients who trusted us and our vision.
I can't wait to see what 2023 will bring! Whatever it may be, I'm here for it and will be ready to plan your next event.
